Substrate Integrated Waveguide Antenna at Millimeter Wave for 5G Application

This paper presents a dual-band slot antenna using substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technology at 26 and 28 GHz. High loss is one of the main challenges faced by 5G base station network due to severe path high frequency. Hence, gain antennas are required for applications overcome issue. this work designs SIW based on excite dual-bands with capability. The designed two slots shaped resonate different frequencies: analyzed CST software fabricated Roger RT5880 permittivity 2.2 lost tangent 0.0009 thickness 0.508 mm. design operates GHz measured reflection coefficients less than -10 dB. Measured gains 8 8.02 dB obtained GHz, respectively. Overall, showed good performance that would benefit fifth-generation applications.
